Ramirez’s research interests lie at the intersection of photography, urban cultures, and emergent technologies. His work explores how photographic practices can interrogate, represent, and reveal the layered complexities of contemporary urban environments, with particular attention to spatial politics, regulation, and lived experience. In parallel, he is actively engaged in examining the integration of artificial intelligence and generative models into photographic processes, not only as a creative and critical practice but also as a pedagogical inquiry—investigating how these technologies reshape visual literacy, authorship, and the future of photographic education.
