Belinda Foo is a composer, arranger, and orchestrator with over 35 years of experience in the music industry. At LASALLE College of the Arts, she lectures in Aural Skills, Music Theory, Songwriting, and Composition and Arranging, nurturing emerging musicians with both technical expertise and creative insight.

Her career spans a diverse range of musical disciplines, from composing, orchestrating and arranging for commercial and art music projects to performing as a pianist and music director for stage productions and musicals. She has written and orchestrated works for the Singapore and Hong Kong Arts Festivals, as well as the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Belinda’s passion lies in composition. She has created original scores for musicals including Darkest Before Dawn, The Other Wiseman, and The Three Trees. Her orchestral works include JEREMIAH, A Symphonic Poem, and JOB – A Symphonic Dance. In 2016, she was commissioned to compose LASALLE’s convocation processional The McNally March, named in honour of LASALLE’s founder, the late Brother Joseph McNally..

As an educator, Belinda draws on her years of professional experience and industry knowledge of contemporary music practices to guide and support her students’ growth. She is committed to fostering creativity and guiding students in developing their own unique compositional voices.

Belinda holds a Master of Arts in Arts Pedagogy and Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London. She also earned Diplomas in Contemporary Composition and Arranging, and in Film Composition, from the Grove School of Music in California.
