Learn to colour grade in this Colour Grading in DaVinci Resolve course, using the industry’s standard software for high-end post production.
This comprehensive course is led by Mark Song (Colorist Society International), a senior colourist and finishing artist who has been grading professionally for more than 10 years. His work includes award-winning films from the Cannes Film Festival’s Official Selection and Camera d'Or.
As a Blackmagic Design-certified trainer in DaVinci Resolve, Mark will facilitate a curriculum that will prepare you for the optional Blackmagic Design certification exam by the end of the course.
From basic colour theory to exploring advanced AI-enhanced tools, gain the skills to elevate your video projects. Learn to work efficiently with node-based workflows, match shots seamlessly and be confident in your ability to colour grade your own videos.
About the trainer
Mark Song
Mark Song is a Dolby Vision certified senior colourist and finishing artist and Blackmagic Design certified trainer for DaVinci Resolve, with a decade-and-a-half of post-production experience.
He has colour graded more than a dozen feature films including Cannes 2023 Caméra d'Or winner Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell, as well as Glorious Ashes, Vietnam’s entry into the 2024 Academy Awards. He has also digitally restored and corrected more than a dozen feature films shot on celluloid from the 1970s to early 2000s including Eating Air (1999) and Be With Me (2005).
Mark consults part-time on colour grading at LASALLE College of the Arts’ Puttnam School of Film & Animation and has given talks for Eizo, School of the Arts Singapore and Hwa Chong International School. He is an alumnus of the International Colourist Academy, UP.GRADE and Singapore Polytechnic.

Introduction to Anime Film Studies in Gouache
In this engaging and hands-on gouache painting course, participants will learn the techniques and skills necessary to create stunning anime backgrounds inspired by the iconic Studio Ghibli films. Throughout the course, students will gain an understanding of the key elements that make Ghibli backgrounds unique and explore various methods of using gouache paint to bring their own imaginative landscapes to life. WritersLab: Introduction to Film and TV Writing
The class will look at the essential principles that must be applied to write for the visual mediums of film and television. The syllabus will include originality, dramatic elements of a story, modern three- and four-act structures, the dramatic primacy of conflict and opposition, as well as theme and meaning. The class will also examine the similarities and differences between film and TV, multi-episodic story and character arcs in TV series, and script practices to avoid. Video Editing with DaVinci: An Introduction
Gain basic skills in video editing with DaVinci resolve software. Participants will be introduced to the theory and techniques of creative film editing and learn how to be competent with video editing.
