Course details

Learn to colour grade in this Colour Grading in DaVinci Resolve course, using the industry’s standard software for high-end post production.

This comprehensive course is led by Mark Song (Colorist Society International), a senior colourist and finishing artist who has been grading professionally for more than 10 years. His work includes award-winning films from the Cannes Film Festival’s Official Selection and Camera d'Or.

As a Blackmagic Design-certified trainer in DaVinci Resolve, Mark will facilitate a curriculum that will prepare you for the optional Blackmagic Design certification exam by the end of the course.

From basic colour theory to exploring advanced AI-enhanced tools, gain the skills to elevate your video projects. Learn to work efficiently with node-based workflows, match shots seamlessly and be confident in your ability to colour grade your own videos.

About the trainer

Mark Song

Mark Song is a Dolby Vision certified senior colourist and finishing artist and Blackmagic Design certified trainer for DaVinci Resolve, with a decade-and-a-half of post-production experience.

He has colour graded more than a dozen feature films including Cannes 2023 Caméra d'Or winner Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell, as well as Glorious Ashes, Vietnam’s entry into the 2024 Academy Awards. He has also digitally restored and corrected more than a dozen feature films shot on celluloid from the 1970s to early 2000s including Eating Air (1999) and Be With Me (2005).

Mark consults part-time on colour grading at LASALLE College of the Arts’ Puttnam School of Film & Animation and has given talks for Eizo, School of the Arts Singapore and Hwa Chong International School. He is an alumnus of the International Colourist Academy, UP.GRADE and Singapore Polytechnic.
