Course details
Loosen your rigid drawing habits and be trained in the principles of drawing techniques. Using a wide range of drawing materials for hands-on practice, dive into the world of drawing as a means of intense visual exploration. Individual and class guidance accommodates varying levels of drawing ability.
Note: Classes may require you to observe a life nude model in drawing assignments. Applicants have to be strictly 18 years old and above.

About the trainer
Adeleine Daysor
Adeleine Daysor is an artist-educator and cultural researcher specialising in painting, object-making and site-responsive installations. She imparts the arts and humanities through higher education, social work and customised programmes for youth, adults and seniors. She is an adjunct educator at LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Technological University and the National University of Singapore.
Adeleine is founder and creative director of the Arts Garden Club and Fuchsia, artist collectives for education and community. She also participates in local arts initiatives and exhibits internationally.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Surrey Institute of Art and Design, University College and an MFA in Drawing & Painting and MA in Visual & Critical Studies from California College of the Arts.

Learning Photography Through Film: Intention, Exposure and Craft
This is a craft-based photography training course where film will be used as an experiential learning tool. This course is a chance for budding photographers to learn to slow down, build confidence in manual shooting, train their exposure judgment, develop strong composition habits and teach visual discipline. You are to bring 10 digital photos to the first class that you think represent your photography. This course does not teach darkroom development.

Beginners with little to no experience in digital creative software should take on this Short Course to learn the fundamentals of Affinity, a free professional design app that combines vector, pixel and layout tools in one platform. Through step-by-step instruction and guided practice, you will learn the essential tools, workflows, and concepts needed to navigate the software effectively. The Arts and Visual Cultures of Japan: From the Ancient to the Contemporary

Lectures and discussions will examine the cultural, historical and aesthetic contexts that shaped Japan’s traditions and its enduring influence.
